I found the *perfect* art lamp for our built ins. These finishing details are my favourite part of any project! And it never ends because I’m, constantly rearranging things or adding something ☺️ Since we do not have fancy overhead light fixtures in here I wanted to incorporate fun lighting to add a little character. This art lamp is from @modernkomfort and is perfect above our oversized artwork. They also have a lovely variety of home decor, furniture as well as lighting + rugs. I ordered a few other small goodies for our built ins and you know I’ll be rearranging them 1000x 🙃

In case you’re new here, hiiiiii I’m Amy! We are currently mid reno on the space through this arched doorway. That space will be our new pantry. We’ve lived in our home for about 3.5 years. During our time here we really got a feel for what worked for our family. These changes will be more functional for us, plus it will create a much more appealing sight line🤩. I’m ALL about that sight line! By removing a small wall we have created a joint mud+laundry. It makes so much more sense for our family. Go see the before🥴 - I’ve saved everything in my IG story highlight.

While I would have loved to renovate and change all the things sooner, I’m extremely glad that we waited to really get a feel for this house + the layout. This allowed us to budget and thoughtfully plan these spaces. If I’ve learned anything throughout all of our home projects - it’s to NOT RUSH THE PROCESS. Trust me, it’s worth waiting!! It might not look like much yet but next week will be an exciting one 💃🏼!!
