If you have an open concept home, try a console table or bench behind your sofa. This might go down as my favourite thing we did INSIDE our home this summer! After a long hunt for the perfect console table we ended up rearranging some furniture and found that this bench works perfectly here. While traditional console tables are a little taller or sometimes longer we find the bench works out well for us. It is functional by providing a spot to style a few items, or to place a beverage, it also allows for extra seating and my favourite element is additional storage in the baskets below for easy access to kids stuff. Another perk I love about the bench is that it has been great at preventing my kids from jumping over the top of the sofa🥴🙌🏼.
And who says you can’t have nice things with kids???
This bench is out of stock until February so I’ll link some console table options in my stories.

AND you even buy them on sale to save a few bucks… 💸

I’m not an expert in the kitchen AND I have fuss

I’m not an expert in the kitchen AND I have fussy eaters, but a little trick that seems to work in our house is having our boys help select what we are cooking for dinner AND also having them help with the prepwork. (Trust me this works - it keeps them busy so they aren’t eating 100 snacks before dinner😂) When they help, or have a say in what’s for dinner, they are often more interested in eating what we prepare! Over the weekend, we flipped through the Bite Me Balance Cookbook and Archer selected the Crispy Roasted Smashed Potatoes - I’m pretty sure he picked them because he wanted to smash the potatoes but that is beside the point. They were delicious and we loved the recipe. The recipes throughout the @bitememore cookbook are easy, balanced, great for busy moms and include lots of great crowd pleasing recipes for picky eaters too. The cookbook also shares countless tips and tricks for in the kitchen. We have some more recipes picked out to try this week. I might make the Thai Chicken Noodle Soup again because it was👌🏼. Nothing exciting to report over here. It was a good weekend but it was about as exciting as my Friday night… See last post to give you an idea LOL. There is something to be said about simply enjoying the weekend without any big plans or projects on the go :) Happy Sunday! #thepetersplace

The other day I shared a meme about things you become passionate about in your 30’s and what can I say, I love my vacuum. [AD] The Dyson V11 Outsize is AHH-MAZING. Since it is cordless it’s easy to pull out for a quick clean up multiple times a day to keep up with the crumbs + messes from my boys.
The new auto mode in the torque-drive cleaner head adapts and adjusts suction power depending on the floor type, so going over my layered rugs onto the hardwood is no problem! The Outsize bin is 2.5x larger so I don’t have to empty it as often and it comes with two interchangeable batteries that gives 120 minutes of run time. OK last thing - the cleaner head is 25% bigger so you cover more area in one pass! I think it is safe to say that I love my vacuum😄.
