Style Tip - Let’s chat about rug combinations in an open concept home.
[AD] A good rug pairing helps create flow and cohesiveness to adjoining rooms so here are a couple tips to help you choose a complimenting rug combo in your home.
* One solid rug paired with one patterned rug.
* Choose a rug in the same colour palette to keep consistency.
* Mix two patterned rugs in the same style or same colour. 
Whatever your style preference is, have fun, experiment, play with scale, colour, texture and patterns to see what you like best in your home.

My go-to is usually a solid rug paired with a patterned rug. That way they compliment each other but it does not compete. I shared this @rugs_usa rug a few months ago and it is a really great neutral+solid rug and it is also an excellent base for layering. I’ll link in my stories!

It’s taken a little time but I found the perfect

It’s taken a little time but I found the perfect covered basket for our entryway. It’s a great size, doesn’t cover our vent, functions as storage and it looks nice. As much as I wanted to fill the void, I was patient and waited for the right item to come along. I try to be mindful and not rush but gosh it’s not always easy. While waiting, I moved a few things around that we already had in our home, these items acted as place holders to give us a feel for what might work in this space. It wasn’t the fastest process but I’m happy I waited and found this gem. I’ll link a similar one in my stories!
