Budget Friendly DIY Custom-like Blinds + Curtains

Who doesn’t love a little transformation? I’m

Who doesn’t love a little transformation? I’m telling you guys, these little projects are giving me life. Taking something outdated and turning it into something I love with a little spray paint has become my new favourite activity. I used BEHR PREMIUM ™ Spray Paint in Black in Flat to transform my wooden stools and Ashen Tan in Satin to make over a vintage vase. I also used BEHR PREMIUM ™ Metallic Spray Paint in Gold in Gloss to renew a bell I found while thrifting.

Big changes are coming!! It comes with mixed emotions to share that we have officially sold our house and we are MOVING across the country - from Halifax to Vancouver 😳✈️🏔. This wasn’t something that was planned but an opportunity came up and we here we are…
This summer we make the move. I have lots more to share in the weeks to come. Looking forward to bringing you all along to our next chapter while we get settled into our new province, community and home ❤️🏡

Sharing a few pointers for decorating open shelving -
Some of my favourite items for shelf styling are vases, baskets, framed art or photos, books, candles, large pieces like sculptures or bowls as well as interesting objects.

I found several great small decor items for under $100 on my recent visit to @HomeSenseCanada! I’m thrilled I found this amazing oversized vase for only $29.99! This haul also included items sourced from around the world.

When styling your shelves, have fun creating groups of items. Groups of three tend to work well! Stick to a simple colour scheme to help keep your decor cohesive. Try to repeat the same colours a few times so it all flows from shelf to shelf. Add books for additional height. Trial and error works great too. Experiment with your vignettes and HAVE FUN!!

I could not be more in love with the Sausalito bedroom set from our friends at @potterybarn @potterybarncanada. It’s beyond perfect! We went with this beautiful seadrift wood tone and I love the warmth that it adds to our space.
It’s a classic, timeless design that could be styled countless ways - I’m already dreaming up ways I’ll be styling our bedroom through the seasons.
