Selecting the perfect paint color is not an easy task! There are several things to consider. And even when you have the colour in your home it might not be *just right*.
The power of paint is pretty incredible. It can really transform a space. A fresh coat of paint can make a house look like new. Before we moved into our home is was quite dark – that’s how the previous owner liked it. I prefer a timeless look with light and bright canvas on our main living spaces.

There are literally SO MANY shades of white paint. And let’s face it, it isn’t fun to paint an entire room and decide it isn’t exactly what you were hoping for, only to turn around and paint all over again – BEEN THERE.

Let’s cut to the chase.
We used Benjamin Moore – Chantilly Lace OC-65 on our entire house. All the rooms. Doors. Baseboards. Built in Shelves. The brick on our mantle. All Vanities. Even our kitchen cabinets. ALL Chantilly Lace.
I prefer the look of a matte finish.

In my opinion white walls are where it’s at. White walls are a blank canvas and then you can incorporate colours through furniture, rugs and accessories.

“As delicate and refined as the lace it was named after, this crisp, clean white evokes images of pure silk, soft linen and simpler times.”

Thank you so much for sharing! May I ask about the ceilings?
They are the same as well!
Thanks for the info. The interior of our condo is Chantilly Lace too. I feel like it is too white but maybe it out decor! It really makes the wood and brick in your house pop. Beautiful.
Thank you Heather! Do you have a lot of natural light in your condo? Or perhaps you have decorated with cooler colours? I think it really depends on how much light you have in each room 🙂
Beautiful white love Chantilly Lace! We used it in our basement. Wondering what type of finish was the paint?
hi we used a matte finish
Love Chantilly Lace! I have a guest bedroom and bathroom in that color. I would love to paint my entire home the same but my kitchen cupboards are BM Cloud White…Do you think that would work?
Hi Colleen, Yes I think that would work! our house it is all the same colour and it makes for easy touch ups. Kitchen cabinets are often different colours or shades or material than other walls in the house so I think it would work 🙂
Your home is absolutely lovely, and your decor is so stunningly stylish! I’m getting my new home painted by a residential painter in two weeks, and I still have decided on a color. I love the look of Benjamin Moore’s Chantilly Lace, but my home has less natural light and is a bit smaller than yours. Do you think this color would still look good in my home?
hi Sarah, it is a beautiful white. We’ve use this shade of white in all rooms in our home and it really looks incredible, even in rooms without any natural light 🙂
Love love LOVE your home decor and style. So beautiful and peaceful! Thanks for sharing 🙂
Thank you so much!!
