8 Simple Ways to Bring Warmth Into Your Home

We’ve slowly warmed up our living room by layering in different tones and textures to create a bit more depth and a cozier feel.
1. Warm wood tones - coffee table, side tables, console, frames, beams. Natural wood instantly softens a space and adds that cozy, lived-in feel.
2. Intentional colour - a few accent shades or tonal variations go a long way. Think books, candles, vases, baskets—small pieces that add depth without overwhelming.
3. Texture, always - mix linen with boucle, add a chunky knit or a patterned throw, layer in a jute or textured rug. It’s what makes a space feel collected and interesting.
4. Warm metals - brass or aged finishes through lighting, mirrors, hardware, or curtain rods add a subtle glow.
5. Window treatments - curtains or blinds can completely shift a room, adding softness, texture, and a bit of warmth.
6. Art that ties it together - pull in tones from your decor so everything feels cohesive but not too matchy.
7. Greenery - plants, branches, or florals bring in that natural element and a bit of life and texture.
8. Layering - pillows, throws, rugs, and lighting… this is where the cozy really comes together.

For me, a creamy white living room will always feel classic and timeless. Add pieces you love, take your time, and let your space evolve naturally.

The past couple of weeks we’ve been slowly clean

The past couple of weeks we’ve been slowly cleaning up our backyard and getting it ready for patio season… and this little refresh made such a difference.
