Nothing like a glimpse of what’s coming to make the spring to-do list feel worth it ☀️
With patio season just around the corner, we are starting the process of getting our back patio ready again. We’ve got a long way to go with yard clean-up and before a little patio refresh.

Back home after a little getaway, and nothing beat

Back home after a little getaway, and nothing beats sleeping in my own bed.

We came home to a broken fridge and I’m taking care of a sick kiddo and the bed is full of laundry but I’m so glad to be home!

Over the last three weeks I’ve been forcing bloo

Over the last three weeks I’ve been forcing blooms inside our home. 🌸🌸 It is my favourite way to embrace Spring in our home (before it actually arrives) Here in North Vancouver we woke up to snow yesterday!

Here’s what I do:
• Trim branches (select ones with lots of buds) My favourite to force bloom are cherry, magnolia, apple, crabapple, and forsythia branches.
• Place them in a vase with water.
• Be sure to change the water every couple of days.
Depending where they are in the budding process they might start to open in a few days.

A few little moments from the past month — the in-between season where it felt good to slow down. I always feel this pull to edit, purge, and gently refresh… clearing shelves, opening windows (even if just a crack). The days are already feeling longer. Spring is near!
