Welcome to our Holiday Home Tour.
This is one of my favourite posts each year. I love decorating for the holidays and pulling out all of the decor we’ve collected over the years. It’s always fun to share our home and decorating ideas with you.
This year, leading up to the Holidays it was a lot more hectic than usual. We didn’t get to do all of the Holidays things I normally like to do and here I am posting late – but I figure, better late than never:) 2022 is going to be a wild one for our family so I am soaking up ALL the magical moments here and leaving our decorations up a little longer than usual.
Come take a look at our Holiday Home Tour 2021
Each year I look forward to pulling out all of our holiday decor from storage. I enjoy finding new appreciation for items and seeing how things are used year after year as well as reusing old things in new ways. I enjoyed a couple Holiday DIY’s and using Rub and Buff on some old decorations.
On the mantel, I did a DIY Garland with real greens, similar to previous years. To see how I created the garland check out this blog post. I tied velvet ribbon to our stockings to them to make them a little more personalized – the coloured ribbon is a nice way to tie in your colour theme;) My friend Katie Rose recommended these Marble stocking hangers. They are amazing! Command Hooks also work great to secure your stockings to your mantel!
In previous years, we have put our tree in the other corner by the window but we wanted to do things differently this year. So we placed our tree in the other corner next to our 8 foot Arched opening. It was lovely to have the tree alone in the corner and not tucked too closely to furniture, it often felt a little squished so putting it on the other side made the room feel more open.
I’ve linked everything I could for you! Hope you found this inspiring and helpful as you decorate your homes. Thank you so much for stopping by and Happy Holidays to you!

hi – the cabinets are built in. They were actually here when we moved in. If you’re looking for something similar you can have some made to your exact specifications or use ikea products for a similar look
