Big changes are coming!! It comes with mixed emotions to share that we have officially sold our house and we are MOVING across the country – from Halifax to Vancouver 😳✈️🏔. Literally coast to coast. This wasn’t something that was planned but an opportunity came up and we here we are…
We’ve lived in Nova Scotia our entire lives so this is a big change for us. We absolutely love it here in Nova Scotia and the decision to leave didn’t come easy. Adam was offered a great job opportunity and we decided to go for it. We will be settling into Vancouver before the boys start school in September.
The past 5 years in our home here have been incredible – I’m not ready to leave. We love this home, and our neighbours, the school and sense of community. Making this home our own over the years made me realize my strong passion for all things home decor and interior design. I’ve enjoyed sharing each space in our home as we transformed them. It’s been an absolute pleasure inviting you into our home as well as inspiring you to create a home you love to live in. It’s been fun looking back to see how far we’ve come and how my style has evolved. This home will always be a special place for me and for our family.
Although the last few months have not been easy, I’m constantly reminding myself that growth comes from leaving our comfort zone. There will be challenges and growing pains. Missing family and friends… but I’m looking forward how things come together in the next few months. Not going to hide the fact that I’m terrified for all the changes to come for our family but in time I’m confident that everything will fall into place. We just need to give it time.
I’m looking forward to getting into our new home, settling in with the boys, getting some roots in our new community, exploring beautiful British Columbia and making new friends.
This summer we make the move. Thank you all so much for your support and kindness during this next chapter while we get settled into our new province, community and home ❤️🏡.
I’ll be writing another blog post dedicated to our new home in BC!

THANK YOU so much Alma!! I’m not really excited yet – mostly overwhelmed but it will come in time. Looking forward to sharing more from that side of the country and also our new home!

Best of luck! I am excited to see what you do here in Vancouver since space is so much smaller. If you ever need any help finding anything (from what neighborhoods to live in to who to go to for car repairs) I’m happy to help. Vancouver can have a reputation for not being as friendly as our maritime friends but it really is a beautiful place to live. (I grew up here and have been here most of my life)

AWEEEE Thank you SO much Victoria. We will need all the recommendations. This move is such a big one, not only distance but everything in between. We have been so happy in Nova Scotia it is tough to leave for so many reasons. I’ll even miss my dentist and other people and places in our community. We have purchased a home that we will move into this fall or possibly sooner if we are lucky – it will be different for sure. I’m not quite ready to embrace all the changes but I’m looking forward to getting into our new home and community and settling in. I have a feeling I will love it:) Thank you for being so welcoming!!
